His list of awards includes many honorable titles. In 2001, he was titled ‘The American Red Cross Man of the Year’ for Rockland County. The United Hospice Foundation also awarded him the same title in 2003. Rockland County’s Art Council named him ‘Artist of the Year’ in 2008. In 2010, The Rockland Family Shelter gave him the ‘Distinguished Citizen’s Award’ for the work he did for mistreated women. This year, he earned the prestigious Ellis Island ‘Medal of Honor’ with other prominent people like Brooke Shields, Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio.
Berg’s work is not limited or confined and he has worked with the American rock and roll band, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan. He has performed in seven of their records, accompanied them on their U.S tour and also performed with them on Harley Davidson’s 100th Anniversary. Berg also co-owns a theater camp, ‘Broadway Theater Workshops,’ that is designed for instructing around two hundred budding artists from New Jersey every year.
