They have since played some incredible seasons but are still waiting to win their first ever World Series. Let’s hope they make it this time. MLB’s Washington Nationals, who participate from the East Division in the National League, are all set to play another exciting series at the Nationals Park. The team has been playing at the Nationals Park since 2008, prior to which it played its home games at Robert Kennedy Memorial Stadium. Washington Nationals Washington tickets are always a sought after treat among baseball fans and this season is no different. The team will be competing against the likes of Miami Marlins, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants, among others.

The Nationals recorded their highest winning rates in the 1994 season, when they scored the best records in baseball. The shedding of players in the following years, however, posed problems as the team’s fan interest began dropping. Following the 2001 season, the Nationals came under the ownership of the MLB and moved to Washington before the start of the 2005 season. Their name was taken from the previous Washington baseball franchise, Washington Senators. In fact, the team’s nickname, ‘the Nats’ is also the same shortened version used by old teams in D.C.

The team’s home ballpark, Nationals Park is located in Washington’s Navy Yard neighborhood along the Anacostia River. It has gained recognition as the United States’ first major stadium for professional sports to be certified green by LEED. Its record attendance of over forty-five thousand, nine hundred was set in 2012 when the Washington Nationals played against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Come to the Washington Nationals Washington game and cheer for the players as they score more homeruns.
