Street League is the first ever sports entertainment property providing its own leagues for professional street skateboarding. Its participants are world’s best professionals. Skateboarding Championship is known to have had historical endings in 2010 with Neenah Huston, Sean Malto, and Shane of Neill, keeping the fans at the edge of the seats throughout. With the settling of the dust, young Nyjah Huston took away $150,000 prize in money and was honored as the overall Street League champ. Street League Skateboarding Championship is returning this year with the same promising, electrifying energy. Wagers are being laid for this winner-takes-it-all series, 2011. Competing for $200,000 – the largest price on skateboarding ever – only 10 Street League pros will qualify. The lucky winners of the first three stops will directly qualify for the Championship against seven other ranked contenders. Adding to all the excitement, this season the series is also introducing the eliminating section; 2 players with the minimum score will be disqualified, reducing the number from 10 to 6 by the end of each event.
Street League Skateboarding Championship, like last year, is being sponsored by DC Shoes and Monster Energy. DC Shoes, founded by Ken Block and Damon Way is famous as the leading skateboarding shoes. Monster Energy is known as the most modern and untraditional sports brand. It also went live internationally in more than 198 countries.
