It turned out to be the last before the team moved to San Francisco in 1957 to be renamed as the San Francisco Giants. The start in the new city wasn't as glorious as the one in NYC but the franchise stuck to their guns and got through that period to beat the LA Dodgers in the World Series play-offs in 1962.

The San Francisco Giants captured numerous divisional titles and pennants in subsequent years to go with MVP awards for its players. All this was achieved despite the fact that the team faced a lot of internal issues that almost destroyed its future, but like always they came through all that and started rebuilding the team. All the efforts and hard work paid off when the team captured their sixth World Title in 2010.The San Francisco Giants truly are one of the giants of the game. Their six world titles place them on second position on the list most world championships.
