Get Rutgers Scarlet Knights Lincoln tickets and watch the Scarlet Knights play against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have become part of the Big Ten Conference, where they will be playing against big teams like Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska and Michigan State. It seems to be a daunting task for the new entrants to make it to the top. However, looking back at the history of the Scarlet Knights, it is imminent that they will give a tough time to the ‘big dogs’.

During the 70s, the Rutgers team under Coach Frank Burns had a winning average of .803 with a record of 45-11, compiled in a five year period. They have staged huge upsets throughout their history; they have defeated Tennessee, Michigan State and Penn State (Michigan and Penn State were nationally ranked team). The Scarlet Knights have won five conference titles in their career, the latest title was in 2012 when they became Big East Conference Co-Champions.

Another memorable season for the Rutgers football team was in 2006. The team began the season by winning the first nine games and gaining nationwide attention. The ninth win was even more special, as they overpowered the undefeated, third-ranked, Louisville Cardinals. As the season progresses teams in the Big Ten will be conscious of the Knights ability to give better ranked teams a tough time. Get Rutgers Scarlet Knights Lincoln tickets and come support the Scarlet Knights as they look forward to a win on the road, over the Cornhuskers. Lincoln, the capital of Nebraska, is the place to watch the game, so make sure you don’t miss out on the action.
