Spring training season is on and Philadelphia Phillies Fort Myers tickets are part of it. The Phillies will be coming to Fort Myers to play against Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins at the Jet Blue Park and Hammond Stadium, respectively. The Phillies are the oldest franchise from among all professional American sports, to have continued to play under the same name in the same city. They participate from the National League’s Eastern Division and through their long history, have won eleven Division Championships. They brought home two National League Pennants and won two World Series, in 1980 and 2008. Since they are the oldest team in American sports history, they have been noted for losing the most games ever. Despite their poor performance over several decades, they picked up pretty well in recent seasons, bringing home division titles for five consecutive years from 2007 to 2011. Around the same time, many of their players were inducted to the Baseball Wall of Fame. These include Dallas Green, John Vukovich, Juan Samuel, Curt Schilling, Mike Lieberthal, John Kruk, Darren Daulton and Harry Kalas.
Philadelphia Phillies were established in 1883 to replace National League’s Worcester-based team. They have since played at various stadiums across the city including the Recreation Park, Shibe Park Baker Bowl, Veterans Arena and their current ballpark, Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies are playing under the lead of Manager Ryne Sandberg and General Manager Ruben Amaro. Don’t miss their upcoming Philadelphia Phillies Fort Myers games during spring training.
