Old Dominion Tickets

The breakout country group, Old Dominion has announced some headlining performances this summer, and will also be joining Kenny Chesney on his 2016 Spread The Love Tour. Following the release of their debut album “Meat and Candy” in 2015, Billboard Magazine and Rolling Stone hailed them as the “group to watch”. The Nashville based quintet took the fans by storm with their modern country fusion and composing tracks that were a mix of smooth melodies, catchy hooks and clever lyrics. Their songs “Break Up With Him” and “Snapback” dominated the country radio and peaked at the Top 5 on Billboard Country charts. 2016 is a busy year for the band with back to back solo performances, guest appearances in music festivals and opening for Chesney. Old Dominion tickets will treat you to a powerhouse vocal and instrumental performance.

The Songwriters Step Behind The Mic - Old Dominion Rises As A Phenomenal Band

Even before Old Dominion’s debut song “Break Up With Him” reached number one spot on the country charts, chances are you’ve probably heard of the vocalist Matthew Ramsey, bassist Geoff Sprung, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, drummer Whit Sellers and guitarist Brad Tursi. After all they are all accomplished songwriters. Individually and collectively they have penned hit numbers for Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney, among others. Breathing life into their own lyrics, Old Dominion released their first album “Meat and Candy” in November 2015 and it peaked at 16th position on the Billboard 200. Ushering in a new wave of country, the five-piece have tried a different approach in everything, starting from their album title and cover photo. Almost every album in country is named after a key song, but “Meat and Candy” doesn’t exist on the track list. Instead of featuring the quintet on the album cover, there is a seductress waitress surrounded by delicious treats. They immediately got the attention of the fans.

Their unconventional vision carries forward in their songwriting and composition as well, treating the listeners to savvier and sharper music. Sounding easy and light, Old Dominion’s music can be played in the background in office as well as on a date. Their crossover beats and incredible harmonies urge the listeners to sing along.

The album opens with the radio-friendly track “Snapback” that has a shimmering 90s’ vibe to it. Matthew Ramsay’s voice is both soulful and edgy, peppered with a country twang that makes the track irresistible. The chart-topper “Break Up With Him” is a mid-tempo number that creates an image of redemption, longing romance and heartbreak. The classic rock overtones and hip-hop phrasing makes it an ingenious effort that places Old Dominion on a different country landscape. The band hasn’t left its traditional roots and there is a lot of country in their songs to make the hardcore fans happy.

The band has taken their country success to the center stage and has hit the road once again with Kenny Chesney. They previously opened for him on his Big Revival Tour, and will now be joining him on the North American run of Spread The Love Tour. Old Dominion tickets are also in great demand for their headlining concerts as the band has found popularity as a charismatic live act, with tremendous talent.
