NFL recruitments and individual honors

The iconic program has produced more than four hundred and eighty quality players who have gone on to join the NFL. This ranks them at second place, behind USC, with the highest NFL recruitments. Ninety seven players have been recognized as Consensus All-Americans, while thirty three have been unanimous All-Americans.

Team achievements

The team itself has several achievements; they have won thirteen national titles which ties them at first place for the most number of titles in the NCAA era. The fighting Irish were the top ranked team in 2012 according to the AP and Coaches' polls. They also were the best ranked team according the BCS standings.

Recently the team has acquired a few freshmen who could make a huge impact in the team. Justin Yoo tabbed as the second best kicker in country and Jerry Tillery the defensive lineman are among the exciting prospects.

The team is hugely popular and attracts thousands of spectators. All their home games are shown on television on NBC and are the only school to have a national television contract.
