The team finished the season coming fifth in the International League North Division and was ranked at top in average attendance among all Minor League Basketball teams. 2011 Season brought great luck for the team and they made their way to Governors’ Cup Finals but eventually lost to Columbus Clippers. Their regular season record turned out to be the best in their four years of games.
 
In 2012, Lehigh Valley IronPigs was ranked as the second most valuable Franchise in Minor League Baseball by Forbes, Sacramento River Cats of the Pacific Coast League being at top. The team has been recognized on several occasions and awarded with individual as well as team awards. Tyler Cloyd was honored as ‘International League Most valuable Pitcher’ in 2012 while manager Ryne Sandberg was awarded with ‘Baseball America Minor League Manager of the year’ award same year.
