Denver Pioneers Tickets
The Denver Pioneers is the collective name given to the 17 varsity sports teams from the “University of Denver”. All teams are classified as being part of the “National Collegiate Athletic Association” or the NCAA and are filed under Davison I. They also play under the “Western Athletic Conference” or the WAC, and have been part of this union since July of 2012. The teams are perhaps some of the oldest sports groups to come from a university in all of the United States. The Pioneers have existed since 1867 and have been actively competing since day one. In the beginning, however, they had no proper name. This remained the case up till the 1920s after which “Pioneers” was suggested as a result of a student contest which insisted that the people themselves come up with a title. The university games have begun once more, and the schedule for basketball, soccer and lacrosse games has been announced. To witness any of these matches live, buy Denver Pioneer tickets.

The Pioneers have been fairly successful throughout the years. They have produced some of the finest athletes of this time. This includes an impressive 58 Olympians, 200 All American championships, and 28 NCAA wins. Moreover, the sports program at the "University of Denver" is perhaps more unique than most other schools. They have popularized and aided unusual or non mainstream games as well. To aid their students in their athletic endeavors and to encourage them to be part of their all inclusive program, they have spent more than $85 million in building a sports complex. The basketball games are played at the famous "Magness Arena" while the soccer matches take place at the "DU Soccer Stadium". They have also especially built a venue for lacrosse games which is known as the "Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium". The university is also one of the few in the entire country not to have a football program. This often comes as a surprise to some who would have expected an American college to partake in the nation’s most popular sports—baseball and football. But the college insists upon diversity and being unique and wants to invest in sports programs that no other college has.
This does not mean that other mainstream sports have evaded the university. The students at Denver play golf, tennis, volleyball, diving, gymnastics and soccer and they play it well. Moreover, the teams for women are just as good as the men’s teams. This has made them amongst Sports Illustrated’s top 30 in a list of the 100 top sports of America.
The teams are currently gearing up for the upcoming season, in the hope that the change in conferences and their joining the "Summit League" would not upset their performance. But while the athletes and their coaches are still the same, their fans can rest be assured that the upcoming games will be nothing short of eventful.
