It will feature Flames playing against San Jose Sharks. San Jose is the tenth largest American city and third, in California, in terms of population. It is also the largest in the famous Silicon Valley and a key part of the larger San Francisco Bay Area. Though a farming community until the fifties, it grew rapidly after the Second World War and is now home to hi-tech industries. Dubbed the Capital of Silicon Valley, it is the perfect place for this game.

The Calgary Flames is owned by Calgary Flames LP with N. Murray Edwards as the chairman and Jay Feaster as the general manager. Mark Giordano is the franchise’s captain with Bob Hartley as the head coach. In the ECHL, the Alaska Aces are affiliated with the franchise, as are the AHL’s Abbotsford Heat. They have won one Stanley Cup championship in addition to three Conference Championships, with the last won in the 2003 to 2004 season. They have also won the highly competitive Presidents’ Trophy twice and have five Division Championships to their name, with the last won in the 2005 to 2006 season. They have a fierce rivalry with the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL, leading to the famous Battle of Alberta game. They are a franchise to catch live with Calgary Flames San Jose tickets in hand.
