Atlanta Braves

This professional baseball franchise was established in 1871 in Boston. They were initially called the Boston Red Stockings. The team stayed in Boston till 1952, though it changed many names from 1871 to 1953. For the 1953 season, the team moved to Milwaukee as the Milwaukee Braves. They were based in Milwaukee till 1965. It is only in 1966 that the team moved to Atlanta and came to be known as the Atlanta Braves. The Braves have won three World Series, five West division titles and twelve East division titles. Since 2013, they have yet to win another division title.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers were established in 1969 in Seattle and were called the Seattle Pilots. However, the team relocated to its present location only a year after in 1970. Named after Milwaukee’s beer brewing tradition and industry, the Milwaukee Brewers came close to winning the World Series in 1982. This has been the team’s only World Series appearance so far. In addition, the Brewers have won two division titles. The Brewers are yet to win another division title since 2011.
