Date & Time

All Elite Wrestling is making headlines for all the right reasons. A lot of people are excited about the company's arrival and some are going as far as saying that AEW might take professional wrestling back to arguably its greatest era, the time when WWE and WCW used to go head-to-head during the Monday Night Wars. Grab your AEW tickets and get ready for a blockbuster event.

All In Sets the Tone

In May of 2017, it was reported that Ring of Honor failed to sell even ten thousand tickets for an event. Those claims got a response from Cody Rhodes as well as The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). All three were not only members of the ROH roster at that time but were all very good friends.

They decided to hold an event independently in September of 2018. The wrestlers taking part in the event were to come from Ring of Honor and different other companies. The event was named All In and it was a massive success story. The tickets for the show were sold-out in just half an hour and it was attended by the biggest crowd ever in the US, outside of WCW and WWE sanctioned events, since the year 1993. 11,263 fans turned up to watch All In and it received a lot of acclaim too.

All In featured stars like Kenny Omega, Christopher Daniels, Jay Lethal, Penta El Zero, Rey Mysterio, Matt and Nick Jackson, Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky among others. To say that the event was exciting would be an understatement.

The Arrival of All Elite Wrestling

Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks left Ring of Honor shortly afterwards. As per some reports, they were offered new deals by World Wrestling Entertainment but those offers were turned down. They had ambitions of their own.

In Jacksonville, on November 5, 2018 multiple trademarks were filed. Those trademarks were for names like All Elite Wrestling, AEW, Double or Nothing, All Out, AEW All Out, AEW Double or Nothing and Tuesday Night Dynamite. The trademarks also had more than one logo. This piece of information is what first gave away the impending arrival of All Elite Wrestling.

The inception of the promotion was officially announced on January 1, 2019 via Being the Elite, a YouTube web series. It was in the same episode that the announcement was made about Double or Nothing as a sequel to All In.

The very next day, The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes joined AEW Wrestling officially. They were now only part of the All Elite Wrestling roster but were also the co Executive Vice Presidents of the promotion. Tony Khan, son of Billionaire, Shahid Khan was announced as the President. Shahid and Tony are owners of All Elite Wrestling too.

The Press Conferences

On January 8, 2019 the first press conference was held by AEW at the TIAA Bank Field. The company announced its first lineup of stars and then came the shock that was felt all over the professional wrestling community. The legendary Chris Jericho made an appearance at the press conference and announced he had signed with All Elite Wrestling. That was a huge statement from the new promotion.

AEW held its second press conference of February 7, 2019 where new members of the roster were announced. That list contained one of the most sought after stars outside of the WWE, Kenny Omega.

Double or Nothing

Double or Nothing tickets went on sale and are in high demand right now. As of right now multiple matches have been announced for the pay-per-view event and that includes the grudge match between Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. The two wrestlers came to blows as the press conference where Kenny Omega announced his allegiance with All Elite Wrestling and had to be separated by the security team and some other stars of the promotion.

More matches will be announced before the event is held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. If you want to see the action live then book your Double or Nothing tickets at the earliest.
