In 1969, Alabama emerged as an American band that focused on genres such as bluegrass, southern rock and country. The founding members of the band were Randy Owen and his cousin Teddy Gentry. The band was later on joined by another cousin, Jeff Cook. Initially the trio was known by the name ‘Wildcountry’. Touring around Southeast bar circuit in the seventies, they started working on writing original songs. In 1977, the band changed their name to Alabama and signed up with GRT for a record. The debut single "I Wanna Be With You Tonight" created some sensation but due to the bankruptcy of the record company, the band hit a major setback.

The era of the eighties mark the biggest success for the band as they released over twenty seven top songs and seven multi platinum albums. The first single, "Tennessee River" produced with RCA Records was followed by a streak of chart topping songs. These hit singles including "Song of the South", "Love in the First Degree", “Dixieland Delight" and more.

The band toured extensively and incorporated relevant elements such as set designs and lighting effects in their performances which were inspired by rock concerts. They created their own unique music by giving it a crossover appeal with a blend of southern rock and country music, along with some elements of pop and gospel music. Come enjoy the music of this incredible band by getting Alabama Kansas City tickets. The show is scheduled at Starlight Theatre in the largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri, the Kansas City.
