The 24 years old artist grew up in Kaiserslautem, Germany where he also embarked upon his music journey. He has been an active part of the music industry since 2002. The record labels that he is affiliated with are Interscope Records, Dim Mak Records and OWSLA Records. He has given some excellent supporting acts with other musicians such as Porter Robinson, Lady Gaga and Skrillex.
Zedd was born in Russia to two musicians. During his classical music training he began playing instruments like the drums and the piano. He was just four years old at the time. The artist started performing for the known German band, Dioramic, who had been signed up with the Lifeforce Records in 2002. After being heard by the renowned duo, Zedd developed an interest in electronic music. By 2009, he started to produce his own electronic music.
Zedd has successfully managed to produce a large array of originals as well as remixes that have earned him a lot of fame. He rose to prominence when he won two Beatport remix competitions. His debut original release was "The Anthem", which broke records and went straight to the Top 20 list of Beatport Electro House. The remix he did for Skrillex’s song, "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" reached the Top 10 list of Beatport Electro House. It was ranked on the second number. Since then, he has created some hit remixes for internationally acclaimed artists such as Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas.
Zedd uses various plug-ins such as SynthMaster 2.6, Nexus Omnisphere synthesizers, Sylenth 1 and the Kontakt sampler to compose music. In 2011, he came up with spectacular remixes of famous songs o Lady Gaga. These include "Marry the Night," and "Born This Way" were of which were a part of the special edition of her critically acclaimed third studio album, Born This Way. His single, "Shave It Up" was seen appearing as a 30-second teaser on the YouTube channel of Skrillex’s. This was his debut release under OWSLA Records.
Zedd signed a contract deal with Interscope Records in 2012 and finally released his first single "Spectrum." Mathew Koma did the vocals on the song. Later on, he worked on "I Don’t Like You" a song by Eva Simons that was released under Interscope label. Zedd worked in collaboration with Max Martin on the single "Beauty and a Beat" of Justin Bieber’s record, Believe. He announced in the media that at the moment he was working on Lady Gaga’s soon-to-be released album ARTPOP. From Namie Amuro’s album FEEL, he produced the song called "Heaven."

The talented DJ and record producer, Zedd has released his new single in collaboration with Maren Morris and Grey titled, The Middle. The song is crafted beautifully and showcases Zedd and Grey’s incredible production skills. Besides putting out a new song, the Grammy winner is also going on a tour. He will not only be playing a series of shows at the Omnia Nightclub in Las Vegas but will also go on to perform in Asian in cities including, Tokyo, Osaka and Manila. Zedd is scheduled to conclude the trek in June.
