Not only did the album receive a Grammy nomination, it also spawned three number one hit singles apart from two other charting hits.
 
Shadows and Light was released as groups’ second studio release back in 1992. In their second studio effort, the group experimented with their sound a lot, and completely transformed how to they made music in their debut album. The second album had much more serious and personal tone its lyrics and music. Charting and peaking at #4 spot on Billboard 200, the album spawned hits like You Won’t See Me Cry and Where Are You. In 1993, Chynna Phillips decided to pursue a solo career, which led to the disbandment of the group. For the next whole decade, all the members concentrated on their solo projects. The group finally got back together in 2004 and released an album containing covered songs. By far, the group has released a total of five studio albums, with Dedicated being their most recent release.
