Walk the Moon is a popular indie rock band that comes from Northern Canada. The band comprises of Nicholas Petricca who is the lead singer of the group and is also the founder of it since 2008. After going through a lot of changes in the lineup of the band, finally Eli Maiman, Sean Waugaman and Kevin Ray became the permanent members of the band in 2010. On the 10th of November in 2010, they successfully their debut album came out. The title of the album is I Want! I Want! When this album came out, the main track of the album called "Anna Sun" received an immense amount of airplay on WTMD, WFPK, WCRD, WRLT and WFPK. They signed a contract deal with Mick Management in early 2011 and also signed up with the RCA Records. Soon their official album came out in June 2012 called Walk the Moon. The bands’ self-debut album consists of various fresh songs from I Want! I Want! Along with some new songs that were created primarily for the record and were made to mirror the sort of vibe that can be seen in their concerts. A magazine that labeled the band as being "poppy, art-rock quartet". It is said that this song has been named after one of their professors who taught their college and represents the notion of youth. Their album, I want! I Want!, had been recorded by Ben Cochran as well as Chris Schmidt in Ohio. The official video of the song came out while coinciding with the release of the album disc on the 10th of November. MTV Hive has labeled the video to include some hilarious choreography that seems to have been shot in just one amazing take. The video of the song was warmly received by the mainstream industry along with their as their fans and critics.

Furthermore, the video of "Anna Sun" of Walk the Moon was included in May 2011 to the American Eagle Outfitters. The video was later seen being showcased on the mega hit television show of CW Network, The Vampire Diaries in the pilot episode of its season three of the series. On the 15th of May, this song appeared as the first one of the week on iTunes and is Amazon has called it as being one of the top songs of the year. Moreover, it has been remixed.

In 2012, they were given an invitation to come and perform live at the SXSW. They were also featured on the Last call with Carson Daly a show that is hosted by Carson Daly. They toured extensively in the spring of 2011 and garnered an immense amount of fan following for them. For all of the live performances that they do, they are known to paint their faces. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the famous Lollapalooza festival they performed at the main stage. They have also collaborated with various other artists and musicians at the known Midtown Music Festival. They have played live at the Great Southeast Music Hall Stage.

In May 2013, they gave a stunning live performance at the acclaimed UC Riverside spring festival that is known as Spring Splash. Walk the Moon Announces New Album, 'What If Nothing'

On September 26th, the Ohio based indie pop quartet, Walk the Moon shared some exciting news with its fans. They announced that they will be coming out with their fourth studio LP, ‘What If Nothing’ on November 10th. They have also shared the cover-art and the track-list of their upcoming record. Moreover, Walk the Moon have also unveiled that they will be kicking-off their ‘Press Restart Tour’ to promote the album. They are expected to play the first show of the tour in Charlotte on November 19th. The band will then go on to perform concerts in multiple cities like, Tulsa, Pittsburgh and Atlanta before ending the trek on February 24th in Minneapolis.
