Vampire Weekend was formed in 2006 when its band members met in Columbia University. The band describes its style as Upper West Side Soweto and has succeeded in creating music that is joyful and preppy. Since their debut, Vampire Weekend has taken over the rock scene and their rhythmic beats along with catchy lyrics have made them one of the most popular rock bands of this generation.
The bands first studio album, “Vampire Weekend” focuses mostly on the pop genre. The album was mainly appreciated because it included simple yet refreshing tracks.
