The band was formed under the name ‘Groundswell’ in Ontario, Canada, in 1992. The band was composed of five high school students, which included Joe Grant (guitarist), Phil Crow (guitarist), Brad Walst (bassist), Neil Sanderson (vocalist and drummer) and Adam Gontier (vocalist and guitarist). The album produced hits like ‘Wake Up,’ ‘Home’ and ‘Just Like You.’ Other hit albums soon followed; these included ‘One-X’ (2006) and ‘Life Starts Now’ (2009).
