The Tragically Hip is a band which hails from the city of Kingston in the state of Ontario. The band was formed back in the year 1983 and comprises of five remarkably talented musicians at present. The Tragically Hip was enshrined with a place on the prestigious Walk of Fame in Toronto back in the year 2002. The band was also inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in the year 2005. They were also awarded with an Honorary Fellowship in the year 2006 by the Royal Conservatory of Music. In 2008, they were presented with the National Arts Center Award at the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards. These include awards for the Canadian Entertainer for the year 1991, an award which they won in the following year as well. The band also won the award for the Best Rock Album for Phantom Tower in 1999 and for Music at Work in 2001.
