The Men is an acclaimed music band hailing from Brooklyn in New York in the United States of America. They were created in 2008 and have been actively a part of the music industry till the present day. The most recent album that they released was titled as Open Your Heart in 2012. When The Men group was formed in Brooklyn in 2008, they successfully recorded a few great EPs along with a number of demos. They released their next album known as Open Your Heart on the 6th of March in 2012. Right after the release of this album, they were seen performing live to a mega music festival known as South by Southwest in 2012. On the 28th of April in 2012, the members of the band released a statement in the press that they will be recording a follow up album to Open Your Heart which will be scheduled to come out in the spring of 2013. On 9th of January in 2013, the band announced the name of the new album to be titled as New Moon, and is being recorded in Big Indian in New York.
The musical style of this remarkable band is illustrated as being neo-psychedelia along with structures of post punk, pink rock and post hardcore. Some of the major influences of the band comprise of Fugazi, The Replacements, The Velvet Underground and Buzzcocks. For the album that they released in 2012, Open Your Heart, they incorporated doo-wop, surf rock and country music genres in their songs which was received warmly by their loyal fans and also music fans all over the world. In a span of five years since their inception in 2008, they have fruitfully released a total of four studio recorded albums namely: Immaculada which came out in 2010, Leave Home released in 2011, Open Your Heart made public in 2012 and New Moon which is announced to be released in the spring of 2013.
