This American Rock Band was formed in 2007 and is signed with Warner Bros. Records. The band consists of five very talented musicians. With John O'Callaghan as a lead vocalist and Jared Monaco as lead guitarist, along with Pat Kirch on drums, Kennedy Brock on backup vocals and rhythm guitar and Garrett Nickelsen on bass; this band is surely a bash to see. Along with their several EPs, Maine has released three studio albums namely, Can't Stop, Won't Stop (2008), Black & White (2010) and In Darkness & In Light (2010). All of their music is fresh and exhilarating and certainly loved by their fans!
If you are wondering how this band was created then you should know that this extraordinary musical group was formed by Garrett Nickelsen who is the bassist in Maine and its drummer, Pat Kirch in 2007. The name of this band is inspired by Ivory’s song, Coast of Maine. On 11th December, 2007 the band signed with Fearless Records to put together their debut album consisting of a five song EP, The Way We Talk. The producer of this work was Matt Grabe. Following year, Maine released another EP titled ...And A Happy New Year, another production of Matt Grabe, this EP was also a huge success. In 2009, after signing with Warner Bros. Records, Maine released a new version of their album Can't Stop, Won't Stop. Its singles, Everything I Ask For, Girls Do What They Want and Into Your Arms are still very famous among audience. The same year Maine also released a digital documentary with the title This Is Real Life and got a chance to perform at the Vans Warped Tour.
Featuring exclusive photography by Dirk Mai and memoirs by the band, Maine released their first book This Is Real Life. After these small activities, Maine released their second album on 13th July, 2010, with the title Black & White. The album was released with Warner Bros. Records and produced by Howard Benson. Its singles Inside of You, Growing Up and Right Girl all got really famous among its fans. Following the success of their second album, Maine release their third album, In Darkness and in Light on 27th December, 2010. The same year, their album Black & White won the AP Magazine Readers’ Award for the Album of the Year in 2010. Maine also won the Best Live Band 2010 and their single Inside of You won award for the Best Song of 2010.
The most special thing about Maine is that they take their fans very seriously, unlike other stars you will see Maine staying back after the show to meet their fans, they are also seen taking part in the video chat sessions like 24 Hours with The Maine, the event which was organized on the release day of their second album; Black & White. Maine is very active with posting their concert videos on their official YouTube channel. The band has given several performances all over the US and around the world. Apart from performing at Warped Tour, Maine has also performed at The Bamboozle Roadshow. Their own first tour was An Evening with The Maine in 2010. The same year, this amazing pop band also collaborated with Never Shout Never on the Harmony tour. Their first international tour started in 2011 from Philippines.
