In 2011, the TaikOz and Q Theatre Company joined hands to form a new and fresh show for the "Sydney Children's Festival". Q Theatre Company has been a frontrunner in promoting and presenting theatrical excellence throughout the region. It has become one of the longest running lunch-hour theatre companies in the country. Initially formed as the "Lunch Hour Theatre" in 1963, the Q Company went through a struggling phase during the seventies. The young theatre company was an initiative of six energetic actors and artists including "Doreen Warburton", "Walter Sullivan", "Terry McDermott", "Robert McDarra", "Edward Hepple" and "Ben Gabriel". Now the company is a part of the "Penrith Performing & Visual Arts" that was established in 2007. The Penrith Performing & Visual Arts (PP&VA) comprises of several other organizations and cultural centers aiming to promote arts and theatre throughout the globe. The 'PP&VA' includes the "Penrith Conservatorium Music" that focuses at music education, "Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Center" that promotes quality dance, theatre and musical shows in the region and the "Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest" that showcases some of the most beautiful and eloquent works and exhibitions.

The Drums Share New Song
American indie pop band The Drums recently shared a new single Meet Me in Mexico. The proceeds for the song will go to organizations such as Lago Tanganica 67 and Reconstruir Mexico, working to rebuild the destruction caused by the Mexican earthquake that occurred in September, 2017.
The Drums singer Jonny Pierce recently stated “I am grateful beyond measure for the love poured out to me from my Mexican and Mexican-American fans.” He added “I contribute much of the longevity of my career to their devotion and passion for the work I put into the world. I wrote this song when I had reached a mountaintop of frustration with Donald Trump and his Country Club of Dumb Americans.”
The Drums Share New Song ‘Head of the Horse’
American indie pop band The Drums has shared a new song ‘Head of the Horse’ from their upcoming music album titled ‘Abysmal Thoughts.’ The record is slated to release via Anti- Records on June 16. In a statement about the song, front man Jonny Pierce said that the song is about his Pentecostal preacher parents who were anti-gay. He said that during his childhood, he suffered from self-doubt, self-hate and a lot of confusion. The song is hence a trip down the dark parts of memory lane.
