The Dirty Heads was founded by a couple of high school students in the mid nineties. Jared ‘Dirty J’ Watson impressed by the rap demo tapes of Dustin ‘Duddy B’ Bushnell wanted to work with him on a new project. Bushnell having an experience of producing music for a punk rock band guided Watson in pursuing with it as a career. Both the musicians influenced by the punk artists of the industry wrote hip hop songs and composed great melodies. The unusual name of the band has an interesting background. It originates from the occasion, where both the friends were stealing a 12-pack beer and were called out loud as the ‘Dirty Heads’. Initially started by two members, the band got completed with the addition of three more talented musicians who played punk music with great perfection.

The Dirty Heads signed its first contract with Warner Bros for releasing its debut album. Having artistic differences, the band took the support of renowned producers Stan Frazier and Steve Fox for completing their debut album. Unlike other bands, it’s very first album had musical appearance by the legendary Beatles along with music composition in collaboration with the best artists of the industry. This included Josh Freese, Billy Preston, Alex Acuna and Slash.
The Dirty Heads after releasing a number of soundtracks initially, launched its debut album ‘Any Port In A Storm’ with a bang. The audience response was truly amazing. It received positive reviews from the critics worldwide. Their unique and ingenious music attracted attention of millions of people worldwide. The album was dedicated to youth and their way of life. It referred to the time period when one could get away with the responsibilities easily, having fun with acquaintances / friends and simply having a good time. In appreciation of its well written and enjoyable music, the album was instantly ranked at the US Top Ten Album Charts. The Dirty Heads after the incredible album response is all set for a rocking live tour once again.
