The Canadian Tenors are a Canadian vocal quartet hailing from Victoria in the Canadian province of British Columbia. This quartet was founded in 2007 and has been active since then performing international concerts which many have watched live through The Canadian Tenors tickets and continue to do to this day. They were signed onto the record label Universal Music Canada in 2007 and Decca Records in 2008. As of date, they are still signed onto both record labels and their lineup consists of Remigio Pereira, Victor Micallef, Fraser Walters and Clifton Murray. Their music is best described as a combination of pop and classical music; they have also been host to some of the best known vocalists in the pop and classical music scene. Some of their best known songs include the classical hits Panis Angelicus and The Prayer as well as the pop hit, Hallelujah. They have also graced some of the finest stages in the world including the world famous Tel Aviv Opera House and Las Vegas’s Mandalay Bay Events Center. They have also performed live on CBS TV’s Holiday Festival of Ice and the live broadcast of the 2009 Grey Cup.
 
The Canadian Tenors story began back in 2003 when Jill Ann Siemens came up with the concept of the group. A number of tries were then held with different vocalists auditioning for the perfect combination of voices. The first lineup of this vocal group consists of Philip Grant, Ken Lavigne and Paul Ouellette and its first performance were held in 2004 in Victoria with this first performance favorably reviewed in the Victoria Times Colonist. Soon after, a number of new tenor voices were then pursued and the lineup of this vocal group again changed. In 2005, a self-titled album was produced with the lineup at the time consisting of Joey Niceforo, Leon Leontaridis and Craig Ashton. In 2007, Peter McCutcheon was brought on board the group and they went on to perform at the Royal Ontario Museum during its opening ceremonies.
 
Soon after, Jamie McKnight replaced Peter McCutcheon on The Canadian Tenors and in 2009, he himself left to focus on his work in theater and was replaced by current member Clifton Murray. They then went on a very successful tour with David Foster opening for the group and even performed the song O Canada at the first Grey Cup game held in 2009. 2010 was a legendary year for The Canadian Tenors since they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and performed Hallelujah live with Celine Dion; an appearance on one of the greatest shows in the world with one of the best selling artists in the history of music.
 
By this time, The Canadian Tenors had sold over one hundred and twenty thousand albums in Canada alone and over thirty thousand albums in the US, a spectacular achievement for a vocal quartet. In 2010, they released a Christmas album titled as The Perfect Gift. This album was so successful that it ranked seventh on the Top Holiday Albums chart the same year. During the 2010 Christmas holidays, they performed a special titled as Canadian Tenors and Driends which attracted over nine hundred and fifty thousand people. Performances by artists such as Jackie Evancho and Justin Bieber also took place. In the Emmy Awards held in 2011, they performed the song Hallelujah.
 
In 2011, The Canadian Tenors worked on yet another special titled as Season of Song which went to attract over seven hundred and forty thousand people. When it comes to their discography, their first album has ranked first on the US Top Classical Albums chart, second on the US Top Christian Albums chart and second on the Canadian Top Classical Albums chart as well. It was also certified platinum in the US. Their second album ranked first on the Top Classical Albums charts and third on the Canadian charts, receiving a platinum certification as well. This is therefore no ordinary vocal quartet; it is a two times platinum certified group that has sold thousands of albums and has attracted nearly a million viewers, a feat that means that The Canadian Tenors tickets cant be left behind.
