The Almost Tickets

The Almost tickets bring one of the hottest live acts in Christian rock this season. Hailing from Clearwater, the band plays a wide range of genres under the influence of Christian rock. The band’s music carries impressions of everything from Emo to alternative rock and alternative CCM. It also hits upon post grunge and post hardcore rock.

The Almost Tickets

The act is lead by Aaron Gillespie who is the famed ex-drummer and vocalist of the band Underoath, who left it to form The Almost in 2005. The band's lineup has Gillespie as the vocalist also playing the rhythm guitar, keyboards and percussion. Dusty Redmon is the lead guitarist and also provides backing vocals. Jay Vilardi is the rhythm guitarist while Jon Thompson is the bassist. Joe Musten as the drummer completes the lineup. Vilardi is also the unofficial musical director who with the help of Redman created wonderful music. Redmand has been associated with bands such as Beloved and Dead Poetic. Together all band members brought forth their experience and influences and created the sound of The Almost. The act has melding their talents to make some of the best live Christian Rock into a whole that was more than the sum of its individual parts.


The band started off in 2005 with the release of its demo album The Almost Demos. Since then the band has released three albums and three EPS. The band appeared on Myspace in the fall of 2005 and after this started releasing their songs to the public. Two of their demo singles They Say You Can Never Write I Told You So in a Song But Here I Go and I Mostly Like to Copy Other People introduced the band and their music. Next in Aaron and Kenny Vasoli collaborated on Yule Be Sorry featured on an album by Tooth & Nail Records titled Happy Christmas Volume 4. In 2006 the band went on its It's All Happening tour which showcased some brand new songs off Southern Weather, their upcoming release


The year 2007 launched the band commercially when their debut album Southern Weather came out. Say This Sooner and I Mostly Copy Other People and Never Say I Told You So (demo version) were cyber music hits. MySpace and The Almost 's Pure Volume played these songs for fans everywhere . Say This Sooner became Pure Volume’s No.1most played song. The bands first video soon followed; it was for the single Say This Sooner that premiered on MTV. The band joined Paramore, The Starting Line and Set Your Goals on the RIOT! Tour. The band further played live on tour with bands like Envy On The Coast, Emery, Army of Me. After returning from the tour the band recorded and released Hold On, a B-side track.

No Gift to Bring was the band’s second EP that came out in 2008. The album featured Awful Direction and Little Drummer Boy. The first one was an interesting covers of the Christmas carol while the second was a cover of the song Your Love Is Extravagant. Another highlight of the EP was the remix of Dirty and Left Out. The next studio by the band was a much awaited release as the band’s earlier works were dominated by Gillipsie. Monster Monster was released under the Tooth & Nail/Virgin label in 2009. It shook stands with hot singles such as Hands and Lonely Wheel. Several bonus tracks like Me And Alone, West, Wrong, July and Birmingham were made a part of special fan releases. These additions took the album all the way to No. 3 of The Christian Album Charts and No. 67 of the Billboard 200.

The ban began touring again 2010 when they appeared in the Australian Soundwave Festival. This tour allowed them to play with big names such as Jimmy Eat World, Faith No More, Anthrax and Jane's Addiction. The iMatter Festival, in New York saw the band with more raw energy and strength. They were loved for every act they played. The Almost tickets for the concerts on these events sold out like hot cakes. The band was sensational and it was determined to keep the sensation alive with their next release, the EP titled Monster Monster EP.

Fear Inside Our Bones is the band next release. It has been introduced to public with the premiere of single Ghost.
