Tanya Tucker Tickets
To put it mildly, Tanya Tucker ruffled some feathers when she entered the country music scene in the early 1970s. She wasn’t leaving much to imagination. The fourteen-year old was singing about love, murder, insanity and illegitimate children. The country music audience in Nashville and elsewhere wasn’t sure what to make of her. Some have now suggested that she was the Britney Spears of the 1970s. Her 1973 hit “Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)” was “…Baby One More Time” of the era. She may have been ahead of her time but that was exactly what helped shape her career. And almost 40 years later, she’s still adored by country fans and if you are one of them then get your Tanya Tucker tickets now.
From March till August, 2018, Tucker will be performing live in multiple venues all over the US, including United Wireless Arena, Birchmere Music Hall, Mill Town Music Hall and the iconic Ryman Auditorium.

Young Starlet from Texas
Tanya Tucker was born in Seminole, Texas, the same city where Larry Gatlin was born ten years before her. The Tuckers moved a lot due to the nature of Jesse Tucker’s (Tanya’s father) work. Tanya was raised in Willcox, Arizona. A small town, there was only one radio station in the city that too played country music only. The Tuckers were heavily into country music and would often attend concerts, including of famous artists Mel Tillis and Ernest Tubb. It didn’t take Tanya long to tell Jesse that she wanted to grow up to be a country singer.
Tanya’s earliest break came when she sang at the Arizona State Fair. Later, Mel Tillis got the whiff of Tucker’s talent and invited her to perform with him. By 1969, The Tuckers had moved to Las Vegas where Tanya was performing regularly. A demo tape of hers was noticed by songwriter Dolores Fuller, who forwarded it to Billy Sherrill, a head honcho at CBS Records. He would sign her with Columbia Records.
