Both tehse albums again landed at #1 position on US Billboard, Canadian, Finish and New Zealand charts, both were certified gold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, these albums went platinum in the US, Finland and Ireland. After releasing Hypnotize System of a Down went into a hiatus in the year 2006 as all the three main members decided to pursue solo careers but eventually in 2011 there was a reunion and the band went on an extensive European tour performing at a number of music festivals such as the Metaltown festival in Sweden, Download Festival in UK, Greenfield Festival in Switzerland and Nova Rock Festival in Austria.
