Most of the band members of Streetlight Manifesto band were already famous for their participations in the past punk ska bands in the community of New Jersey 3rd wave ska. Its band members included Mike Brown on baritone sax and alto, Jim Conti on tenor sax and alto along with Nadav Nirenberg on trombone, Matt Stewart on trumpet and Chris Thatcher on percussion and drums. Pete McCullough joined the band in 2006 as a bass guitarist and backing vocalist. Tomas Kalnoky is the lead vocalist and a guitarist of Streetlight Manifesto. Some of the past members of Streetlight Manifesto included Pete Sibilia, Paul Lowndes, Dan Ross, Chris Paszik and Christopher Rubow.
Streetlight Manifesto released their first full length album which was titled as Everything Goes Numb on 26th August, 2003. The lyrics of the singles in this album are based on the subjects like robbery, social outcasts, existentialism and suicide. The album was distributed by Victory Records. All the songs of Everything Goes Numb were written by Tomas Kalnoky, its famous numbers include songs like If and When We Rise Again, Everything Went Numb, Failing, Flailing, That'll Be the Day, A Better Place, a Better Time, We Are the Few, A Better Place, a Better Time and That'll Be the Day among many others.
Another full length album of Streetlight Manifesto was released on November 13th 2007, but the title of the album was launched on 22nd August 2007 which is Somewhere in the Between. Some of the famous singles of this album included Would You Be Impressed?, One Foot on the Gas, One Foot in the Grave, Down, Down, Down to Mephisto's Café, We Will Fall Together, Watch It Crash, Forty Days as well as songs like Somewhere in the Between, The Blonde Lead the Blind. This album is the 1st original material album of Streetlight Manifesto since their previous album titled as Everything Goes Numb was a debut.
In 2007 Streetlight Manifesto charted at number two in the US Billboard for Heatseekers Albums and at number eighteen on US Billboard for Independent Albums. Also in 2010 the band charted at 16th position on US Billboard for Rock Albums. 99 Songs of Revolution is another project by Streetlight Manifesto which is like a multi album cover songs in collaboration with Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution and two more bands. Recently through Victory Records, the 1st volume in the series of album 99 Songs of Revolution was released on 16th March 2010. The hit tracks from this album include Skyscraper, Punk Rock Girl, Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, Just, Linoleum, Hell, Birds Flying Away and many more.
