His music is simply splendid and a big time treat.
Pope started his career with the small time local outfit, Kingpin. However over the years, he has worked with a number of talented artists and bands on various projects and has been building up a very impressive profile. They are considered one of the foremost influences in the 90s’ wave of emo rock music. They toured with some of the biggest alternative and punk rock bands of the nineties like Weezer and the Bay Area greatest, Greenday. The Get up Kids build up a solid fans base in North America and a growing influence in Europe. They also went on independently on tours both on the local circuit as well as internationally in Japan and across Europe. In parallel, to The Get up Kids, Pope was a member of the band with Tijuana Crime Scene whom he worked on the critically acclaimed release, Change of Venue in 2001. When the Get Up Kids finally called it quits, Rod joined forces with Koufax.
