If you love hip hop, Bayfront Park, Miami, is the place to be this summer. From May 5 till 7, this venue will host the biggest, loudest and the wildest hip hop party. Better known as Rolling Loud Festival, the hip hop festivities will last for 3 days. The Rolling Loud Festival Lineup 2018 has finally been revealed. You can expect to see some of the greatest stars from the hip-hop industry perform live including, Lil Wayne, Cardi B, Post Malone, Wiz Khalifah and 21 Savage to name a few. This year’s Rolling Loud Festival will be held for two consecutive days at the California Stadium in Los Angeles on December 14 & 15. Rolling Loud Festival is going to be extra special this time around as one of the biggest rappers of all-time, Lil Wayne will be hitting the stage live. Starting his journey in the late ‘90s, Wayne has inspired many aspiring rappers to follow their dreams like, G-Eazy, Nicki Minaj, Drake and Yelawolf.
Lil Wayne arrived on the hip-hop scene with a bang thanks to his debut studio album, ‘Tha Block is Hot’ which reached third spot on the Billboard 200 and recorded platinum sales in the States. Since then, this five-time Grammy winning superstar has dominated the industry by churning out four number-one albums including his latest, ‘Tha Carter V.’ This record was met with favorable reviews from the critics and featured guest appearances by Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Nivea.
Cardi B skyrocketed to fame when her breakthrough single, Bodak Yellow came out. The song became one of the biggest hit of 2017, playing continuously on popular hip-hop radio stations. It also sold in excess of six million copies and topped the Billboard Hot 100.
Following the release of this track, she went on to appear on songs by other famous hip-hop stars and before long, her debut studio album, ‘Invasion of Privacy’ had hit the markets, on April 6, 2018. This record made her a huge star in North America. It smashed the charts both in the U.S. and Canada and was certified double platinum by the RIAA. Moreover, in that same year, she made Time’s list of the, ‘100 Most Influential People in the World.’
Post Malone is another big name to join Lil Wayne and Cardi B at the Rolling Loud Festival. Malone has gone on to sell more than forty million singles worldwide. He made his debut in 2015. After making waves around the world with the release of his two singles, White Iversion and Too Young, Malone dropped his debut studio album, ‘Stoney’ on December 9, 2016. It reached third spot on the Billboard 200 and sold over three million copies in the U.S, earning triple platinum certification from the RIAA.
A couple of years later, Post Malone came out with his sophomore studio record, ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ which helped him top the Billboard 200 for the first time. It also contained two multi-platinum singles including, Rockstar which debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and earned him a Billboard Music Award for, ‘Top Rap Song.’
The multi-time Grammy nominated rapper, Wiz Khalifa is also scheduled to entertain you live at the Rolling Loud Festival. He first came under the spotlight when his highly successful single, Black and Yellow was released in 2010. It became one of the best songs of his career, going sextuple platinum in the States and marking his first single to top the Billboard Hot 100.
Black and Yellow also served as the lead single of his first commercially hit album, ‘Rolling Papers’ which not only landed at the second spot on the Billboard 200 but also achieved double platinum status in the U.S. Since the release of this record, he has come out with three albums more including, ‘Blacc Hollywood’ which turned to be his first studio effort to top the charts in the US.
Fans will also get to watch 21 Savage deliver an energetic performance at the Rolling Loud Festival. 2016 was a breakthrough year for Savage as he released a series of hit singles including, X and No Heart both of which recorded double platinum sales in the States. In 2017, he dropped double studio albums, ‘Issa Album’ and ‘Without Warning’ out of which the former charted at the second spot on the Billboard 200 and received gold certification from the RIAA.
