The album was recorded at San Marcos’ Cheatham Warehouse, where the band performed mostly in its early years. With the release of this album, the band got noticed in the Nashville circle. They were signed by Downtime for the album titled Like It Used to Be. The band gradually started to expand their performance circuit. They began performing out of San Marcos; Dripping Springs was the new town where the Amphitheatre and the Nutty Brown Café showcased the band’s live performances.
Rollercoaster was the band’s second studio album that was released by Smith Music Group in the spring of 2004. This album had two single that entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts almost nine month later. Rollercoaster was different and special compared to the band’s previous efforts. The songs on this album were co-written by its co-producer Radney Foster. The album was very import in the band’s career as it got them a deal with Mercury Nashville Records. In 2005 the Randy Rogers Band released its second live compilation Live at Billy Bob's with Texas Smith Music Group.
Just a Matter of Time was the band’s fourth album; it came out in 2006 under Mercury Nashville. Years later the band released its self titled album which featured a hit song In My Arms Instead. This single was followed by another hit single Too Late for Goodbye featured on Burning the Day. This song was a hit on U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart where it peaked at number forty seven. The album was the first to be released under the band’s new label MCA Nashville. In 2012 One More Sad Song was the band‘s single release becoming the first ever Billboard Top 40 hit of the band. The Randy Rogers Band‘s latest release Trouble is soon to be released. This album is one of the most awaited and anticipated album because of the hot and happening track Trouble Knows My Name.
The band also released a couple of videos to support and promote their albums. Their first video was aired in 2006 for the song Kiss Me in the Dark. The next year The Brads directed and released the video for the song One More Goodbye. The video for In My Arms Instead was released in 2008; it was directed by Andy Wherspann. Interstate was one of the most watched video of the band which was released in 2010. The video for the Billboard hit One More Sad Song was also released shortly after the album hit stands.
