Born and raised in Detroit under the deep influence of Motown’s music history, Quinn infused various genres into his style. Fuelled by his passion for eclectic compositions, his early songs were a bend of rock, hip-hop, funk and reggae. After touring with SoMo as an opening act, Quinn is now headlining his own tour that is stretched till the summers of 2018. Quinn XCII tickets promise the fans incredible performances, packed with energy and ingenious numbers.
Quinn XCII – An Exciting, Emerging New Artist
In 2015, Quinn XCII released a couple of EPs titled “Shlup” and “Change of Scenery”. The latter received big nods from different circles of the music industry as his fresh vocals laced with calming beats hit home with the listeners. Featuring the aptly titled track “Never Done This”, Quinn showed maturity and growth in a very short time.
2016 brought another EP by him called “Bloom”. It followed the release of his hit song “Kings of Summer” alongside ayokay, the artist/producer who helped kick-start Quinn’s career. The song ended up being a popular summer anthem and it was also used by Texas Rangers’ player Ian Desmond as his walk up song to the plate.
On “Bloom”, ayokay once again serves as the producer and the 7-song EP is all about emotions and exploring personal relationships. The radio cut single “These Days” became a fan-favorite and “Fight Song” soars as a classic love song that touches the heart. The upbeat number “New Wave” took the listeners by storm and is one of the most requested songs in his live shows.
Born as Mikael Temrowski, he later took up the stage name Quinn XCII. His parents were musically inclined and early on exposed him to the Motown classics, featuring early punk rock and hip-hop. At 26, Quinn is not afraid to push boundaries and has been able to rise above the prototypical musical style.
Quinn XCII – A Melting Pot of Genre Influences
In 2017, Quinn XCII came up with his debut studio album “The Story of Us”. The 11-song album presents a rhythmic fusion of pop, reggae, EDM and hip hop. Creating an ingenious sound, the tracks “Straightjacket” and “Fake Denim” stand out for their melodious chorus and fresh drum patterns.
Released through Columbia Records, “The Story of Us” combines sultry reggae and retro-electronic chops with high-pitched vocals. Quinn XCII celebrated the success of the album with a 2017 national tour that initially started off as a 30-date jaunt. But as more and more Quinn XCII tickets sold, the Detroit-bred songwriter/vocalist extended the trek and now concerts will take place till May 2018.
Quinn is out with his new song “Iron & Steel” which features collaboration with close friend Imad Royal and keyboardist Roget Chahayed. Laced with ballad-esque tones and a touch of reggae, the track treats the listeners to refreshing and mellow rhythms.
“The Story of Us Part II Tour” is being greatly anticipated by his fans, kicking off from his hometown Detroit. It will later stop in other popular cities like Dallas, New York, Boston and Washington DC.
