The world witnessed the rise of the popular R&B quartet, 112 when they first appeared on the scene in 1977. The group drew a lot of mainstream attention in the late 1990s as they not only released massive hits but also collaborated with names like, Allure, The Notorious B.I.G and Monica.

Rising to fame with Bad Boy Records

112 began their journey in the music industry by releasing their first self-titled album through Sean Combs label, Bad Boy Record in 1996. The album was certified two times platinum by the RIAA and climbed to the fifth spot on the US R&B chart. They followed that up by putting out their second album, ‘Room 112’ which featured their gold selling single, Love Me. Their third album, ‘Part III’ was released in 2001 which reached first position on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Hot & Wet and Pleasure & Pain

After the release of, ‘Part III,’ 112 signed with Def Soul Recordings and released their third studio record, ‘Hot & Wet’ in 2003. The album secured the second position on US R&B chart and received mix reviews from the critics.

A couple of years later, the group returned with its final album, ‘Pressure & Pain’ before they went on a five year hiatus. The record was certified gold by the RIAA and reached the fourth spot on the Billboard 200. The Grammy winning group is now teaming up with Puff Daddy as the leader of Bad Boy Records gears up for his tour.
