Primus Comes to Life
The band was formed in San Francisco, California in 1984. The initial line up consisted of Jay Lane (drummer), Todd Huth (guitarist) and Les Claypool (vocalist/bassist). However, Lane and Huth left the band in 1988. Primus recorded their debut album in 1989, titled ‘Suck On This.’ The release of this album was followed by four other albums; ‘Tales from the Punchbow!,’ ‘Pork Soda,’ ‘Sailing the Seas of Cheese’ and ‘Frizzie Fry.’ In 1996, Alexander left Primus and Bryan Mantia replaced him. They further recorded the theme song for the famous television show ‘South Park’ and released two more studio albums titled ‘Antipop’ and ‘Brown Album.’ The current band members include Tim Alexander (drummer), Larry LaLonde (guitarist) and Les Claypool (vocalist/bassist).
