Career in The Music Industry
Post Malone rose to stardom after the release of his first single White Iverson in February 2015. The song received praises from Mac Miller and in August 2015 Republic Records signed him. Kanye and Post collaborated on the song Fade. Post Malone got the opportunity to open for Justin Bieber during his Purpose World Tour. He had released his new single Go Flex in 2016 on the Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. In December 2016, Malone released his first debut album Stoney which had the song “Congratulations” peaking at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. The album got a double platinum certification in October 2017.
2018 onwards
His second album Beerbongs & Bentleys (2018) featured the number one hit single “Rockstar” and later Post Malone went on tour with 21 Savage. “Psycho” was a collaboration which debuted on number two on the Billboard Hot 100. In April 2018, he premiered another single Stay and upon release the album broke records on Spotify with 78.7 million streams on the first day. It got certified platinum just four days later and he won his first “Top Rap Song” award for Rockstar at the Billboard Music Awards. “Stoney” broke Michael Jackson’s record by staying on the charts for 77 weeks.
