Popa Chubby Tickets

Popa Chubby’s concert is the place to be at for some amazing soul and blues music. The artist has a couple of concerts coming up in the next few months which is why Popa Chubby tickets are in hot demand these days.

Popa Chubby was actually christened Ted Horowitz, but adopted his stage name when he entered the music industry. Born to a candy store owner, Popa Chubby was always interested in all things creative and different. He wanted more from life and was in search of something that would distinguish him from all the other people in the world. He chose music as his outlet and began to play the drums at the age of thirteen. Sometime later his interest developed in the Rolling Stones and he got inspired in learning how to play the guitar. Besides the Rolling Stones, great artists and bands such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and the Sly & the Family Stone became his inspirations and he took a lot of musical cues and lessons from them. It is obvious that despite being a child of the 1970s, Popa Chubby’s musical interests lay in the artists that hailed from 1960s.

Despite having an obvious love and preference for the blues, Popa Chubby still had a diversified musical interest and a love of creativity, which is why he also worked for a punk rock poet Richard Hell. He made his entry in the music industry after he won a blues talent show which was sponsored by a radio channel from Long Island. He managed to win the award for ‘New Artist of the Year’ and got a chance to open at the Long Beach Blues Festival in 1992.

In the 1990s Popa Chubby was booked for more than two hundred shows in different clubs per year. Before landing a deal with a major label, Popa Chubby worked hard to get noticed by the higher ups of the music industry and focused on releasing a couple of albums under his own label, The Laughing Bear. "It’s Chubby Time" and "Gas and Money" were released in 1994, but they didn’t bring Popa Chubby the fame he had hoped for. His first album with the label Sony/Okeh came out under the name "Booty and the Beast" and was one of his first albums that made a big impact in the music industry. The album was composed of inventive and creative songs that made a space in the listeners’ hearts. The album proved that Popa Chubby was not just another soul less artist looking to make it big, but a musician passionate about music and with a love for his art. The songs of the album were memorable and catchy and had a unique twist to them. They were a combination of jazz, blues and rock, making them a rare treat. The whole album was an incredible piece of art and worth being noticed.

One of the most noticeable works done by Popa Chubby was during the Iraq war. He worked on an album based on political and international issues and put his heart and soul in the project. The album was titled "Peace, Love and Respect" and was an impressive compilation of heartfelt music. He poured his frustration and sadness over the war directly into his lyrics and songs and openly conveyed his sentiments to the public. He displayed the intense heartbreak he felt over the people who had lost their lives in the war and showed to the public that he was an artist who was full of compassion and love.

Popa Chubby’s live performances are full of energy and excitement. He delivers powerhouse live concerts, to which fans always flock to. Popa Chubby tickets are in great demand for his next concerts so you better get in line too! These tickets are available at cheap rates for all those interested.
