He initially worked at a desk job in his family’s business but later on discovered his talent for humor and his ability of entertaining people. Polo Polo kept performing at the Cheops club followed by regular performances in the club, Khufu, where he was literally a showstopper and one of the highlights of the club. He did standup comedy there until his career soared even further when he was asked to perform at the largest venue in Mexico, the Crown Hall at the Crown Hotel Plaza, in 1986. He was also signed onto the music label Musart with whom he began recording his debut live album, titled as The Trop to Spain, which became a huge commercial success despite the lack of publicity through radio, something that was normal for comedians of his time. It was so popular that it sold around a hundred thousand copies. Very soon, Polo Polo tasted another major success when he set a new record for the longest show ever, a feat that no one has broken to date. He has even hosted his own TV show, Con Ganas, as well as in various movies and plays. He has released twenty albums to date, more than even many musicians have produced.
