Pepper Tickets

Music has always been one of the most fun forms of entertainment. With so many genres and thousands of musicians out there, you can never miss out on a good time when there is music involved. While genres like rock and hip hop are the most popular ones right now, there is nothing like a bit of different music to make a totally fun night out. Speaking of different music, reggae is one form of music that hasn’t really been too popular in the US since the days of Bob Marley. Now with bands like SuperHeavy coming up with their influenced reggae music, it is a better time than ever to catch the latest and most rocking in reggae music. One of the purest forms of reggae music today is coming from the island of Hawaii and the band that is bringing it to American audiences in none other than Pepper.

Date & Time
Pepper started out more than a decade ago in 1996 when the lead singer got together with his classmate to form a band doing their favorite type of music which was reggae. They soon got together with a popular drummer and formed Pepper. The band moved to San Diego in 1997 and recorded a demo with seven songs on it. The release was a success and the band soon found they were becoming increasingly popular in the Big Island area with their unique blend of music. The band caught the attention of the independent record company Volcom Entertainment who produced and released their debut album Give’n It in 1999. The album was a huge success for the band and they went on extensive tours following the release of the album. Their touring ended with them getting a spot on the Warped Tour in 2001. This performance garnered Pepper a lot of critical standing and their fan following increased in large numbers. The band released their second album Kona Town in 2002. This album saw the band taking a different approach to their music, with a more hip hop influenced sound. The album was followed by the band sharing the stage with the like of Snoop Dogg and 311. The band recorded their 2004 album In With The Old at 311’s completely analog studio. This recording setup gave the band an edgier sound and this was the band’s first album to break the Billboard Heatseeker’s Top 40 and the Independent Album’s Top 20 chart listings.

No Shame was released in 2006 and was the first album that Pepper released under their own record company Law Records. The album was a success and spawned a number of singles and music videos. The next album was Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations which was released in 2008 and featured the band going for yet another new sound. The band then followed the album by performing with some of the biggest names in hip hop and reggae music while they continued headlining a number of festivals all over the country. 2011 will see the band headlining the Warped Tour in addition to a number of other major festivals.

The music of Pepper is not just simple reggae music. The music is a mixture of all the influences of the band with elements of a large number of genres added. You will hear the rock guitar riffs and feel the hip hop beats while the melodic vocals will have you swaying from side to side. No music genre knows fun like reggae does and the thumping drum beats of Pepper’s music is the best music for a fun night out. Whether you are looking to have a great night of fun with your friend or are looking to go out on a date which is more than just dinner and conversation, you should be getting your Pepper tickets right now so that you can enjoy them live when they hit your town!
