Pepe Aguilar, whose full name is Jose Aguilar is an acclaimed songwriter and a singer. His main musical genres are mariachi, pop music and ranchera. This album ultimately won Aguilar his first Latin Grammy Award. He has also been successfully nominated for more than nine times at the Grammy Awards.
In the year of 2002, Pepe Aguilar became the first Mexican musician to have sung the celebrated and popular Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in the state of California in the United States of America. At the famous Kodak Theatre which is located in Los Angeles, Aguilar became the first Latino singer to sing there. On the 15th of September in the year of 2003, Aguilar celebrated the famous Mexican War of Independence via his Mexican heritage.
