The famous American pop music band, Parachute performed a series of concerts in a number of cities across the country. Members of the band including Will Anderson, Alex Hargrave, Nate McFarland, Johnny Stubblefield and Kit French put together a spectacular show. Parachute tickets were in high demand since the announcement of the band’s live tour dates took place.
Parachute was initially known by the name Sparky’s Flaw. However, they changed the name to Parachute in the year 2008. Some of their early hit singles like ‘Under Control and ‘She is love’ were picked up to be used for the Nivea brand’s TV commercials. In 2008, Parachute had the opportunity to share the Nivea Countdown stage with Taylor Swift and Jonas Brothers at the New Year’s special show held at Times Square. The event enjoyed an attendance of more than one million.
Having gained considerable attention for their songs and live acts, Parachute came up with their first record ‘Losing Sleep’ the following year. It debuted on the second spot of the Digital Albums chart while reached the 40th position on the US Billboard 200. Majority of the songs from the album carry the writing credentials of Will Anderson. The album is packed with rock beats, piano driven ballads and acoustic numbers. It reveals a rich and extensive use of a variety of instrument arrangements. Anderson’s unique and vast vocal quality further enhances the appeal of the compositions. ‘All That I am’ and ‘Back again’ are among the prominent hits of the collection. The latter was also chosen as the soundtrack for the famous video game called ‘Band Hero.’
The year 2011, saw the release of the pop rock band’s second studio record ‘The Way It Was.’ The album was released under Mercury Records. The record opens with an upbeat toe tapping track ‘White Dress.’ The song reflects Anderson’s command over both the high and low notes of the compositions. ‘You and Me’ is another cheerful song that reflects both the sadness as well as the excitement experienced through the beautiful and intense emotion of love. As Anderson sings the track, it creates a picture in the mind of the listener of the singer’s dream where he is a robber and his female love interests the driver. Together they set off on an adventurous crime expedition that ends happily until Will wakes up to the disappointment of reality.
The lead song ‘Something to Believe in’ is exceptionally well written and produced. Apart from the impressive vocals, it consists of a complete choir of soulful Baptists. The track carries an introspective feel as the subject is faith in God and the self. The supporting lines of an African American singer complement the already powerful singing of Anderson. ‘Forever and Always’ is a sentimental narrative melody. It charts the intense and tragic love story of a man and woman who are separated due to the cruelty of time.
With the addition of popular songs like ‘Square One,’ ‘Halfway’ and ‘What I Know’, the album became a huge commercial hit. It ranked 19th on the US Billboard 200, stood amongst the Top Ten on the Rock Albums countdown while reached the fourth spot on the chart of Digital albums.
Parachute has made a number of appearances on popular television shows. Among these include CBS’ ‘The Early Show’ and ABC’s ‘Good Morning America.’ Ever since the beginning of their professional music career, the band has toured extensively around the country. They have played the opening acts for the shows of many renowned music artists like Miggs and Plain White T’s. They have also been a part of many successful live music tours, sharing the stage with notable names of the industry such as Michelle Branch, Goo Goo Dolls, The All-American Rejects and many others.
The young and exuberant five-piece band rocked the stage at Irving Plaza in New York City in 2013, making huge sales of Parachute tickets.
