Panic! At the Disco is the brainchild of Ryan Ross and Spencer Smith. The duo formed the band in 2004 and recruited Brent Wilson who invited his classmate, Brendon Urie to join the group. The quartet soon started to jam together and later dropped out of college to pursue music. They recorded a demo of four songs and uploaded it on Purevolume. The band also sent the link of the website to Pete Wentz who is the bassist of Fall Out Boys. Wentz signed Panic! At the Disco to Decaydance Records.

Explosive debut

Panic! At the Disco made their much anticipated debut by releasing their first full length album titled, ‘A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out’ which performed well on the music charts. It was certified platinum in Australia and the United Kingdom. It also spawned a single, I Write Sins Not Tragedies which became a massive hit in the U.S
