Born in 1984 in Essex, Murs had no interest in singing during his childhood. 'Heart Skips a Beat', the first single from the release hit stands in the summer 2011 and featured Rizzle Kick. The single rocked to the top of the charts in no time and the album became Olly's first album top the UK’s charts. This was then followed by a tour with the band One Direction and a re-release of the single 'Heart Skips a Beat' featuring hip-hop and rap duo Chiddy Bang.
Olly Murs started working on his third album 'Right Place Right Time' soon after and released it in November 2012. The album was an instant success as it went on to become a record breaker. Owing to the success of smash hit single 'Troublemaker', the album was tagged as the ‘Biggest week one sales by a male artist in 2012’.
With The X-Factor providing him the initial boost, within three short years, and with three album releases, Olly’s career has developed at a phenomenal rate. His three albums produced four No.1 singles including 'Dance with Me Tonight', the platinum seller.
In 2013, he is booked to appear as a special guest on Robbie Williams' European Stadium tour.
