Nofx Tickets

The American punk rock band NOFX, is recognized among the most outstanding bands of all times, with over 6 million records sold worldwide. NOFX’s music is distinctive and diversified, using different music genres such as melodic hardcore, ska punk, skate rock, punk rock, and several others. Their most recent music essentially brings into limelight or target issues like society, politics, class inequalities, sexism, religion, racism, the music industry, drug use and homophobia. The NOFX’s songs vary in length, starting from below a minute, such as their song I Gotta Pee is of 32 seconds and The Decline is even more than eighteen minutes long, making it their longest song.

The NOFX band was originally from Los Angeles, California but later on shifted base to San Francisco. It came into being in 1983 and was created by Fat Mike, the vocalist and Eric Melvin, the guitarist. They named it NO-FX. A little later, drummer Erik "Smelly" Sandin teamed up with them and in 1991 El Hefe came aboard as the lead guitarist and trumpet player, and these four form the band NOFX today. The first time round they recorded a demo, whose producer was Don Bolles. Although it didn’t succeed and sold very few copies yet it is at this time considered to be one of the extremely invaluable collector’s copies. Then in 1985 the band released an album that was self-titled NOFX on Mystic Records and later it was re-released by incorporating it into the Maximum Rocknroll CD in 1992. The band’s original group of people kept on changing a number of times but by that time the three members who were there together in the beginning came back together. Erik Sandin took a leave for a year and in his place and Scott Aldahl and Scott Sellers were brought in. For a few months Dave Allen became a part of the band as car accident caused his death.

NOFX climbed to success with the album Punk In Drublic in 1994, their best-selling album till now, a certified gold album which is deemed a classic by the fans of punk genre as well as the critics. This album was a commercial breakthrough for the band. Their second album, Heavy Petting Zoo was slower and was not as successful as the previous on. Yet still it appeared on to the US Billboard charts, reaching 63rd number, the first of its kind for the NOFX. Then in 1997, NOFX introduced its third album. With this album they came back to faster punk. In 1999 ‘The Decline’ was released by the band. It was a single track which was more than eighteen minutes and 23 seconds long. After NOFX released Pump Up the Valuum in 2000, which was a full-length album. In 2003 the NOFX released an album called The War on Errorism and this album was made up of songs that were on or about politics and from there started their campaign against George W. Bush. After that they assembled two chart-topping Rock Against Bush CDs.

NOFX went on the Warped Tour in 1998 with Rancid, Bad Religion, the Specials, Save Ferris, the Deftones and others. That year the tour went international and travelled to several countries like Australia, Japan and the whole of Europe. Later on in 2007, September, they went on a world tour. They toured to countries like South Africa and others. It was the first ever concert played by the band in Africa.  At that time, during the final concert in Israel, the vocalist Fat Mike unintentionally hit the guitarist Eric Melvin, breaking his guitar’s neck and injuring Melvin on the forehead while performing one of their songs. The latest tour news from the NOFX band is that they start touring from April 11th till the end of October. They will start the tour from Germany and then will move onto France, Spain, Switzerland and end it in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Considering their amazing record, NOFX is a name that pulls millions of people to a concert. With their distinct music and the ability to relate to the times in which their music is released, they have enthralled the audiences. Thus it is no wonder that NOFX Tickets are considered to be prized possessions.
