At the Greek Song Festival, she performed one of the Hadjidakis’s compositions which won her the first prize. Later, she performed two more of his compositions which also lead to her early fame. She also won the first prize at the Mediterranean Song Festival.
Her first breakthrough came in 1961, with the release of “White Roses from Athens,” the German single that she sang for a documentary about Greece.
