About Motionless in White

The band was formed in 2005 by then members, Chris Cerulli, Angelo Parente, Frank Polumbo and Kyle White during high school. The lineup underwent a lot of changes at the earlier stage of their career. The current band members cite various influences that helped them develop their unique sound. These include bands such as Poison the Well, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Johnny Cash and Depeche Mode. They distributed their self-titled demo in 2005 and began to gain popularity soon after that. It wasn’t long after this that the band was discovered by Zach Neil, while performing at a local club. Zach signed the band on to his record label, Masquerade Recordings. With this label, they released their first EP, called The Whorror in 2007.

After touring extensively for this album, Motionless in White managed to write enough songs to complete a full length album. This album, When Love Met Destruction, was recorded in 2008. Soon this recording managed to capture the attention of Alesana, who offered to manage the band. More interest in the band’s work followed as Bob Becker from Fearless Records got in touch with Zach Neil to make an offer to purchase the band’s recording contract and sign them on to Fearless Records.

The first single from the band was called “Ghost in the Mirror”, and had a music video produced for it.

Creatures

In May 2010, Motionless In White began recording their debut full-length album called Creatures. The first single from this album, “Abigail” premiered in August on the Revolver Magazine and was also released on iTunes one day later. The music video for this song came out a few months after the release of the song. More music videos followed in the upcoming years for the tracks “Creatures”, “Immaculate Misconception” and “Puppets”.

The album, Creatures, was finally released on 12th October, 2010, through Fearless Records. The album peaked at the 175th slot on the Billboard 200 and reached No.6 on the Heatseekers chart.

Infamous

In 2012, the band began work on its next album, called Infamous. It was announced that this album would be produced by Jason Suecof and Tim Skold. In September of that year, the first single from the album, “Devil’s Night” was released, along with the entire album. Initially, Infamous reached the No. 53 spot on the Billboard 200, No. 9 on Top Independent Albums, No. 5 on Top Hard Rock Albums and No. 19 on Top Rock Albums.

After the release of this album, Brandon Richter, the drummer, parted ways with the band, leaving Chris Motionless as the only original member of the band.

Reincarnate and Graveyard Shift

The band announced its third studio album through social media, in April, 2014. The intended release date for this album was 16th September, 2014. After this album was released, the band toured with Slipknot, Lamb of God and Bullet For My Valentine.

For their next album, Graveyard Shift, the band announced that they will be signing on to Roadrunner Records. In January 2017, the band released the second single from the album, called “Eternally Yours”. The album itself was released in May 2017.

Motionless In White is now all set to tour the country in promotion of its new album.
