Page gained recognition among the critics for making a remix with Nadia Ali of the song The Longest Road – Deadmau5 Remix, which was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2009, in the categories of Best Remixed Recording, Non-classical. To date, the maestro has released six albums including Philippines, In The Air, Believe, Elevate, Cease and Desist, and Drifting into View. His singles include The Longest Road with Lissie, Call My Name with Tyler James, Fight For Your with Lissie, Strange Condition with Lissie, In The Air with Angela McClusky, Body Work with Sara and Tega, Where Did You Go with Andy Caldwell and Jonathan Mendelsohn; Carry Me with Nadia Ali; and Your Love with The Outfield. Morgan Page’s birth name is Morgan Wolf Page, and the artist was born in Burlington, Vermont, where he attended Champlain Valley Union School. During his years as a student there, he performed on the student radio as a DJ alongside which he also interned at Plastic City label. A few years after graduating from high school, he signed in 1999 with what is now called the Fiji Records. He went on to make a record on various labels including Bedrock label owned by John Digweed; SAW imprint by Satoshi Tomiie; Nordic Tax, and Force Track. Before graduating high school, he played a weekly show in Burlington’s WRUV 90.1 FM, from where he went on to perform as a DJ as well as station manager at Emerson College’s WERS 88.9 FM, in Boston. Here, he also attended school while working.
Page released his fourth album Believe in February 2010, with first single Fight for You, which reached the sixth spot on AOL’s 2009 Top Ten Dance Tracks. His second single was a cover of Pete Yorn called Strange Condition that was issued in January 2010. His third and final single called I’ve Had Friends, which was coproduced by Dave Dresdan and featured vocals by Jan Burton, was released a few months later in November. A music video of the latter song was also released and premiered in 2010 on MTV.
Page released a fifth album in April 2012, titled In The Air that was basically a collaborative project featuring the likes of Greg Laswell, Nadia Ali, Tegan and Sara, Andy Caldwell, Angela McCluskey, BT, and Ned Shephard & Sultan. He is now working on his next album, Philippines that will be released in 2016 on Nettwerk records.
Morgan Page has incorporated a vast range of instruments in his sonic adventures including Antares, Izotopes, Waves, plugins by Sound Toys, Prism converters, Mogami cables, V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Headphones, Health & Allen Xone 4D, Ableton Live, Pro Tools HD, Yamaha Motif, Dave Smith Prophet 08, and Minimoog Voyager, among others. The maestro has collected various award nomination over the years including five made by the International Dance Music Awards in the categories of Best Breakthrough Artist, Best American DJ, Best Progressive Track twice, and Best House/Trance Progressive Track. In 2013, he won his first Independent Music Award for his album In The Air in the category of Best Electronica/Dance Album.
