Taking place on the night of 4th December, 1956, the recording session of the famous foursome happened at Sun Records studio in Memphis. Originally, it was only Carl Perkins recording the song "Matchbox", the he was joined by rock stars including Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley. This incident took shape into a 4-hour jam session between the great rockers of all time. Singing some of their greatest hits, the foursome also included a blend of several tracks during the session. The man behind this occurrence was Sam Philips, known as the "Father of Rock-n-Roll". Rolling the tape, Philips titled it the foursome as The Million Dollar Quartet.
