Michelle Branch Tickets
Michelle Branch kicked off 2017 with the release of a fantastic new album, Hopeless Romantic. This is the artist’s long overdue homecoming, with her previous album being released fourteen years ago. This album has a completely different vibe to it than the last one. Its lyrics are a deeper probing of the human experience and an array of musical styles are being employed here in it as well. Hopeless Romantic exhibits Branch’s singing and songwriting mastery, along with her will to experiment with alternative music genres. She in on tour with this album now, and her concerts are expected across the nation. Michelle Branch tickets are on sale now and in great demand.
The First Time ‘Round
Michelle Branch signed her first record deal in 2000. She was seventeen at the time. Exactly a year and a month later, she had released her first major label album, The Spirit Room with Maverick Records. The label was impressed by her lyrical genius and ability to compose a catchy song, and therefore decided to take a chance on her. It paid off because the first album sold two million copies in the US and created a market for female singer-songwriters. Before this, female singers would just sing songs written for them.
Her second album with Maverick Records came in 2003 and proved an instant success, debuting at number two on the US Billboard album chart. It garnered her with two Grammy nominations, for “Best Single” and “Best Female Rock Performance”. Branch also won a Grammy with Santana for their collaborative single The Game of Love, which hit number five on Billboard’s Hot 100.
In 2006, country duo The Wreckers collaborated with Branch and released a few singles, earning the singer-songwriter her fourth Grammy nomination. However, after this Michelle Branch’s music career became stagnant all the way up till 2017.
Fourteen Years’ Hiatus
Between the release of her previous album and this current one, fourteen years have elapsed. During this time, Branch got married, had a daughter, got divorced and found love again in fellow album producer, Patrick Carney of The Keys. At 33, she is in her element; sure of the type of music she wants to perform.
She was signed by Verve Records in 2015, along with Carney and they both recruited more musicians. This was the first time Branch had so much control over the composition of the tracks, playing the lead guitar on many of them herself. Carney’s unbinding support was crucial throughout this process, as Branch recalls him telling her; “no, Michelle. I think you’re used to everyone in the past playing the guitar for you or not giving you the chance to actually do it yourself. This is your record; you know how it’s supposed to be played. Play the guitar.” Much of her gratitude for and towards him is resonated within this album.
This album is completely autobiographical and consists of tracks Branch has written over her quieter years. Romantic is laid out in the form of a narrative about a woman growing into her own skin. The songs are mainly to do with relationships which, according to Branch, are her favorite creative subject
However, they are directly proportional to her relationships too. The earlier tracks on the album relate to her ex-husband whereas the latter tracks are indicative of her current relationship with Carney. Carry Me Home in particular, is about her budding romance with Carney, while they were in the studio. Branch remembers that day as the first time she felt she loved him.
With the release and positive reception of Hopeless Romantic, Michelle Branch and company have embarked on a World Tour, scheduled for multiple stops in the United States as well. Branch has already been promoting the album on various television programs and the songs look good so far. “Fault line” seems to be a real crowd pleaser given to its coy flirtatious vibes and classic rock/pop combination. Carney is accompanying Branch on the tour as well, along with the band they have collected together.
The artist has already booked key arenas and theaters throughout the US however Michelle Branch tickets are expected to sell out very soon.
