Matthew Morrison’s effervescent personality and undeniably shrewd acting skills have served him well over the years in all forms of media he has delved into. It is thus not too far-fetched to expect his recently released self-titled debut album to become a monster hit.

Morrison has been hitting all the right notes since bursting onto Broadway as a college freshman, with his memorable role in Hairspray serving as a stepping stone to theater greatness. Not shying away from new challenges, Matthew Morrison ploughed through bit-part film roles, gaining prominence on the big screen before setting his sights on television. His critically acclaimed performance in Glee has propelled the show’s ratings skywards and garnered many awards. Morrison also recently released a much-awaited studio album, roping in notable veterans like Elton John for collaborations. Morrison mania is on the rise as he joins New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys on a rollicking USA and Canada tour, and Matthew Morrison Ticket sales are going through the roof.

An Orange County native, he was born as Matthew James Morrison in 1978. Morrison is of Scottish descent and his early interests were geared towards dancing. He studied at Orange County High School of the Arts and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Matthew Morrison landed a role in the chorus of Footloose to get a foothold in Broadway and there was no looking back for the 19 year old.

Morrison’s first brush with music was not a particularly memorable one. In 2001, he was part of a multi-cultural boy band LMNT, whose band members were chosen via the reality TV series Making the Band. Disagreements erupted and Matthew Morrison left LMNT prior to their debut album release. Yet he was making great strides elsewhere. By freshman year, he was regularly involved in Broadway productions, playing in The Rocky Horror Show before starring in 2002 as Link Larkin in Hairspray. Not only was the musical a humungous success, but Morrison’s performance resonated with maturity. It was the perfect springboard to further success on Broadway, characterized by a standout role in The Light in the Piazza. Morrison next turned to Hollywood, with roles in Marci X and Once upon a Mattress before his major break in Music and Lyrics opposite Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant.

His Off Broadway role in 10 Million Miles was a success, but he also expanded to television, with bit-part roles in CSI: Miami, Law & Order and Ghost Whisperer. In search of a meatier role, Matthew Morrison pounced upon the opportunity presented by Fox’s show Glee, in which he plays a high school Spanish teacher aiming to restore the pride of the school’s once formidable glee club. The character and show was a smash hit with audiences, and has been running since 2009. In 2010, he signed a recording deal with Mercury Records, with his much-awaited album finally seeing the light of day in May 2011.

Morrison’s first big break came with Hairspray. The character of Link Larkin, a teenage heartthrob and member of The Corny Collins Show Council who fell for the leading lady Tracy, allowed him ample room to demonstrate his skills. Matthew Morrison was part of the original cast, receiving an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination in 2003. Adam Guettel’s The Light in the Piazza brought him his next headline performance, with the role of Fabrizio Naccarelli generating enough acclaim to warrant three Best Actor nominations, including a 2005 Tony Award nomination. 10 Million Miles continued the trend, with a Drama Desk nomination. His role as Mr. William Schuester, the director of William McKinley High School’s glee club on Fox’s Glee, has made the show a blockbuster hit, topping ratings for teens and viewers aged 18-36. On a personal note, Morrison’s stint has won him two Satellite Awards, a People’s Choice Award and a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination. His adult contemporary album Matthew Morrison has reached #24 and is going strong with collaborative efforts by Elton John, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sting. “Summer Rain” reached #16.

Matthew Morrison Tickets are the talk of the town. The seasoned performer has already fine-tuned his crowd-pulling singing and acting skills on stage in various tours with his Broadway productions (like Hairspray’s National Tour in 2006), and being onstage with old-timers BSB and NKOTB should bring the best out of him.

Morrison’s flexibility and command over his skill set has served him particularly well over the years. The multi-talented superstar is set to conquer a new horizon with fantastic concerts for fans with Matthew Morrison Tickets.
